Bloom Where You’re Planted
I was washing my wife's car a couple of weeks ago when I twisted and felt a sharp pain in my back. I was fine having pain for a few hours...but two weeks later the pain is as bad as when it first happened.
Life is hard. Jesus said it would be. That's why He gave us Himself. After he ascended into heaven, He gave us His Spirit. We also have the Bible. How fortunate that we have the answer to life's challenges...in our hands and in our hearts.
The result of receiving that is the joyful discovery that "we can do hard." The fruit of applying that is we begin to "bloom where we are planted". We discover how God takes our lives and accomplishes His purpose when we fully put our trust in Him.
There is a huge sense of joy and purpose in all of that. It's easy to see where the "grass is always greener" and to lament our place in life. But, the Apostle Paul urges us to accept our place and begin to see how we can flourish right from there.
